TYPICAL ITINERARY
Set sail from San Juan, Puerto Rico on your 8 night Carribbean Cruise to:
St. John, U.S.Virgin Islands
The ever-popular Trunk Bay is one of the most stunning beaches in all the world. St. John is also home to hiking trails through remnants of Danish sugar plantations and Virgin Island National Park which is two-thirds of St. John's 20 square miles.
Philipsburg, St.Maarten
Philipsburg Philipsburg is the main town and capital of the country of Sint Maarten, on a narrow stretch of land between Great Bay and the Great Salt Pond. It functions as the commercial center of Saint Martin island, whereof Sint Maarten encompasses the southern half. The main shopping district, Front Street, is in the heart of the city. Philipsburg has a port that is home to many cruise liners.
Gustavia, St. Barts
Gustavia, the capital of St. Barts (also known as St. Barths), is a chic and upscale port nestled among a picturesque harbor. Dozens of white sand beaches, soothing lagoons and a lush, green landscape abound on this French West Indies island.
Charlestown, Nevis
Get to know Nevis, one central volcano and an area five miles by seven, its circle island road less than a two-hour drive. Within that tiny space are crammed delights for every taste: a championship golf course at the Four Seasons; the exhilaration and romance of dashing across a beach on horseback; and a trek through a lush rainforest of bamboo and tropical fruit trees, entertainment provided by monkeys swinging through the branches. For history hunters there are a number of old sugar plantations in varying stages of preservation and decay. They have intriguing tales to tell, and perhaps a few ghosts for good measure.
Virgin Gorda, B.V.I.
It is best known for The Baths, an area where giant boulders made of granite (rare to the Caribbean) are scattered about the beach and in the water. Great hiking opportunities exist at Virgin Gorda Peak National Park, which at it's highest point provides beautiful views of the island.
Miami, Florida
Propelled by Latin rhythms, with a bold style all its own, Miami is a spicy melting pot of cultures. Immerse yourself in the colorful Art Deco district, vibrant nightlife, and beaches for sun-worshipers and water sport enthusiasts alike. Put some money on the horses at Hialeah Park, one of racings oldest and most prominent tracks, right next to a lake full of pink flamingos. Go adventuring in the Everglades, looking for ‘gators and manatees, canoeing through mangrove tunnels, or paddling a sea kayak through the “10,000 islands”. Flashy and full of life, it’s a great place to play.

Azamara is the new, up-market cruise experience for discerning travelers who long to reach out-of-the-ordinary destinations and indulge in amenities and service unparalleled on the high seas. The unique offerings of Azamara are beyond compare: butler service is provided in every suite; the shore excursions (Azamara prefers to call them shore immersions), are designed to let guests become part of the fabric of life in each destination, instead of merely being an observer; the enrichment programs offer everything from culinary to photographic explorations; the two specialty restaurants provide the finest cuisine at sea; live entertainment can be enjoyed nightly; and the level of service offered is unmatched.
Azamara Club Cruises consists of two intimate ships, Azamara Journey and Azamara Quest. Each can carry 694 fortunate guests to discover the hidden corners of the world that larger cruise ships simply cannot reach. In addition to offering a more personalized experience, the ships have recently undergone a $17.5 million revitalization with new European bedding and soft goods, flat screen televisions, new veranda decking and furniture, and wireless internet service in all staterooms and public areas. Plus, 93% of the staterooms offer ocean views and 68% have a private veranda.
You may be wondering where the name Azamara comes from. Azamara is a coined term derived from the Romance languages. This includes the more obvious links to blue (az) and the sea (mar). The name was also inspired by a star, Acamar. In Classical times, the star Acamar was the most southern bright star that could be seen from the latitude of Greece. Azamara Club Cruises is a star on the blue sea. This flowing name conjures up the imagery of magnificent journeys around the world. And Azamara looks forward to sharing these voyages with you.
